Gerald Allega
Gerald Allega of Statham Allega and Jessen, LLP, has over 20 years experience defending civil cases in Southern Indiana. Mr. Allega, a native of Vincennes, Indiana, is a magna cum laude graduate of Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington where he received the American Jurisprudence Award for the study of Torts as well as the Order of the Coif.
Mr. Allega has extensive "first chair" jury trial experience and has tried civil jury trials to verdict in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Spencer, Gibson, Daviess, and Knox counties in Indiana as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He has served on the Council of the Litigation Section of the Indiana State Bar Association and has participated in oral argument before the Indiana Supreme Court. He has been a presenter at continuing legal education seminars on the topics of trial strategy and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
In 2007, Mr. Allega was the recipient of the Pro Bono Service Award from the Volunteer Lawyer Program of Southwestern Indiana, Inc., in recognition of leadership in the delivery of volunteer services to the poor.
